Agreed though, all the cool people are using .NET so I will too. Here is a custom list of my own resources I used to re-aquaint myself. I did this once before and noticed that it would cost the customer much more to do .NET and they advised me that VBA would be just fine. Alas &#8230; I get paid to do what I am told. I will be using c# (the only thing cooler would be node &#8230; but that is there too:-))<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/usa.autodesk.com\/adsk\/servlet\/index?id=18162650&amp;siteID=123112\">My First Plug-in Training<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/usa.autodesk.com\/adsk\/servlet\/item?siteID=123112&amp;id=785550\">Download ObjectARX for your version of AutoCAD<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/usa.autodesk.com\/adsk\/servlet\/index?siteID=123112&amp;id=1911627\">Download and install the .NET Wizard<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>There is also a CHM reference and intellisense downloads for Visual Studio at this link<\/li>\n<li>The .NET Wizards are WAAAAAY at the bottom (there are 2 kinds, we want the .NET one)<\/li>\n<li>STOP HERE: Getting past these bullets was terrible&#8230; here is the solution: First, not sure if this will work in Community 2015 &#8211; but I had an old 2010 Ultimate installed &#8211; you ONLY SEE THE TEMPLATE IF YOU CHOOSE Framework &gt;=4.0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/forums.autodesk.com\/t5\/net\/autocad-net-wizard-installed-but-no-vb-plugin\/td-p\/5479211\">hint here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/help.autodesk.com\/view\/ACD\/2017\/ENU\/?guid=GUID-43564EB9-F843-4771-823C-573495EE23E0\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You will get an email with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/developautocad\">link to the Developer Center<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/hyperpics.blogs.com\/beyond_the_ui\/2016\/03\/autocad-2017-managed-net-and-objectarx-documentation-part-1.html\">this guy&#8217;s blogs<\/a> and put the 2015 xml help into 2014<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Active X and VBA (from Excel from example) are SOOOOO cheap to design and debug, but on a more corporate level, VBA is shunned by IT as &#8220;impossible to manage&#8221; &#8230; and, it can be but I am using git to manage everything and it works fine.
