I told him &#8211; &#8220;ask people who are your fans to tell you keywords. Ask your customers. You MIGHT know your keywords- but others will more likely know your keywords&#8221;. Well, after reading some books, I was correct &#8211; this is sound advice.\u00a0Now &#8211; some links to help you &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Here is my\u00a0short\u00a0list of instructions\u00a0&#8230; I think my friend has a really good chance at rating high<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I assume you have the Yoast plug in your WordPress installation<\/li>\n<li>I assume you have set up Google&#8217;s Sitemap and WebMaster tools<\/li>\n<li>buy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/yoast.com\/ebooks\/content-seo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Content SEO<\/a>\u00a0from Yoast\n<ul>\n<li>look at <a href=\"https:\/\/yoast.com\/suggest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yoast Suggest<\/a><\/li>\n<li>check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Trends<\/a><\/li>\n<li>SLOWLY READ THIS BOOK. [2nd Edition] [Mar2014]<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>check out the 3 tools listed below (Keyword Eye)<\/li>\n<li>blog often &#8211; short short short blogs with links to the real info you want to show people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can stop reading now.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>How I got to the bullets above &#8230; the longer version<\/p>\n<p>After trying Google Keyword Planner and finding myself at the &#8220;enter credit card number now&#8221;, I researched it and a <a href=\"http:\/\/searchengineland.com\/threefree-keyword-tool-reviews-126217\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">web article<\/a> said [free] Google Keyword Planner is dead. They recommended 3 other tools<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/keywordeye.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keyword\u00a0Eye<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.keywordspy.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keyword Spy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.semrush.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SEM Rush<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yoast was selling some books at 10% off &#8211; I clicked on <a href=\"https:\/\/yoast.com\/ebooks\/content-seo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Content SEO<\/a> and bought it. GOOD STUFF. Why did I get this? Because I don&#8217;t do any SEO on my own website &#8211; it is the content itself that gets me ranked on Google. When doing research on obscure topics that no one else is good at &#8211; I get in my own way &#8211; I find myself on Google lots. <strong>Bragging? No &#8211; my point is Yoast&#8217;s point &#8211; good content is the key.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But first, I went to Kindle for the &lt;$10 kindle books.
