Cool &#8211; lets go &#8211; but not without talking to a friend who has done this and demoed what he as done. Here is his 1,2,3&#8217;s to help get me started &#8211; I will share. This is not the newest raspberry pi, because they were all sold out before they were finished being made. This is for the model B+<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Get one, I live in Calgary &#8211; so here is <a href=\"https:\/\/solarbotics.com\/product\/90070\/\">a local supplier<\/a>,.an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/Raspberry-Pi-100437-Model-1GB\/dp\/B00T2U7R7I\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1448907972&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=raspberry+pi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">amazon.ca<\/a> link for Canadians and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/CanaKit-Raspberry-Premium-Black-Case\/dp\/B01355ZWY0\/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1448913076&amp;sr=8-11&amp;keywords=raspberry+pi+b\">amazon.com<\/a> for the rest of you.<\/li>\n<li>This changed since the first post. I need xbmc on my raspberry pi &#8211; so follow instructions below. Otherwise\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/help\/noobs-setup\/\">Load it with NOOBS load (New out of the box)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Use it &#8230; I don&#8217;t really have a step 3 but it sounds cool to have 3 steps.\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.raspberrypi.org\/forums\/viewtopic.php?f=78&amp;t=9558&amp;start=50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ok &#8211; add an xbox controller to the mix<\/a>. OpenELEC <a href=\"http:\/\/openelec.tv\/forum\/20-development-discussion\/17247-solved-xbox-360-wireless-controller-navigation\">xbox ctrlr discussion<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><!--more-->Well the NOOBS install didn&#8217;t have a link to raspmbc &#8211; so here is a tutorial on <a href=\"http:\/\/OpenELEC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OpenELEC version of xbmc<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>But this did work<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OpenELEC load has xbmc for the raspberry pi. <a href=\"http:\/\/openelec.tv\/get-openelec\">Download it (scroll down to Raspberry PI builds section)<\/a> and follow these instructions\n<ul>\n<li>I have a mac &#8211; so follow <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openelec.tv\/index.php\/HOW-TO:Installing_OpenELEC\/Writing_The_Disk_Image#tab=Mac_OSX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this link to install it on the microSD<\/a> or SD card (I have a b+ raspberry pi w. 512 MB). Not mac? <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.openelec.tv\/index.php\/Raspberry_Pi\">Click here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Here is an AWESOME link to <a href=\"http:\/\/lifehacker.com\/5908682\/how-to-make-xbmc-easier-to-use-especially-for-non-geeks\">narrow down the menus for your kiosk operators or in my case, volunteers<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/forum.kodi.tv\/showthread.php?tid=140947\">Removing even MORE things to make it more kiosk &#8211; easy peasy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Things to look at \/ do so I have read and have not gotten to yet.<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.htpcbeginner.com\/raspberry-pi-openelec-tweaks\/\">10 must-do tweaks<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.htpcbeginner.com\/simple-cheap-raspberry-pi-remote-control\/\">ir remotes<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.logitech.com\/en-us\/harmony-remotes\">Harmony Remote<\/a> (seen it over and over and over)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Re-skinning and customizing<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/raspberrypi.stackexchange.com\/questions\/34909\/how-to-remove-and-add-features-from-osmc-and-openelec-on-raspberry-pi\">reskinning<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.htpcbeginner.com\/configure-openelec-samba-share-raspberry-pi\/\">enable samba shares<\/a><\/li>\n<li>remove ability to <a href=\"http:\/\/forum.kodi.tv\/showthread.php?tid=123690\">get to the &#8220;add-ons&#8221; menu<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.htpcbeginner.com\/5-kodi-advanced-settings-i-always-use\/\">location of advancedsettings.xml<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>try this first\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">cp \/usr\/share\/xbmc\/system\/advancedsettings.xml \/storage\/.kodi\/userd<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">ata\/<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>vi \/storage\/.kodi\/userdata\/advancesettings.xml<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>edit Home.xml and IncludesHomeMenuItems.xml\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">ls \/usr\/share\/xbmc\/addons\/skin.confluence\/720p\/ (this is read-only) ***<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>so this makes more sense in our case since we copied the default skin to a cusotm one of our own\n<ul>\n<li>remember &#8211; above in a link we did this&#8230; (well I did)\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">cp -r \/usr\/share\/xbmc\/addons\/skin.confluence \/storage\/.kodi\/addons\/<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>*** that means we need to do this instead of the command above\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">ls \/storage\/.kodi\/addons\/skin.confluence.edit\/720p\/Home.xml<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>video menu is\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&lt;label&gt;31953&lt;\/label&gt;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>so to the left of it I added<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>&lt;!&#8211;
