This is a bit of a pain but I got it running. Some
basics before you start. Links are at the
bottom for installation tips.
- mountain Lion already has a version installed – but you might need to reinstall
- make sure mySQL is pre-installed AND IN YOUR PATH (critical)
- use this to see a positive confirmation that it can see mysql
./configure | grep mysql_config - it installs it in YOUR directory by default – remember there is a version of radiusd already installed already on you Mac
- /usr/local/sbin/radiusd (run dir)
- /usr/local/etc/raddb/ (configure dir)
- once I got a user installed into the user table all went well as long as I had the secret correct.
- use this to see a positive confirmation that it can see mysql
